Thoughts

My beautiful Janette, since you passed away life hasn’t been the same, I would move heaven and earth just to have you here with me again. The time we spent together meant the world to me, Your laughter and your precious smile as we grew up so very happily. We shared our joys and sorrows,
Our laughter and our tears.
You’ve been my inspiration,
 As we grew up throughout the years. When we were little children we laughed and played together;
Then growing up you stood by me through good and stormy weather. I’m so grateful of the years we had and the closeness that we shared, Your heart, so thoughtful I always knew you truly cared. You were a wonderful sister and il miss you no end, But more than just my family Iv lost my special friend. Rest in peace now,
My sister and best friend,
My deepest love,
 to the sky I shall always send. I love you forever, sleep tight, night night ….Andrea xxx

The Dash Poem (By Linda Ellis) I read of a man who stood to speak At the funeral of a friend He referred to the dates on the tombstone From the beginning...to the end He noted that first came the date of birth And spoke the following date with tears, But he said what mattered most of all Was the dash between those years For that dash represents all the time That they spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved them Know what that little line is worth For it matters not, how much we own, The cars...the house...the cash. What matters is how we live and love And how we spend our dash. So, think about this long and hard. Are there things you'd like to change? For you never know how much time is left That can still be rearranged. If we could just slow down enough To consider what's true and real And always try to understand The way other people feel. And be less quick to anger And show appreciation more And love the people in our lives Like we've never loved before. If we treat each other with respect And more often wear a smile, Remembering this special dash Might only last a little while So, when your eulogy is being read With your life's actions to rehash... Would you be proud of the things they say About how you spent YOUR dash? Janette definitely lived her dash to the full xxx

Janette was my friend throughout school, I have nothing but happy, fun memories of her. I remember distinctly her devastation when Gary Lineker moved to Barcelona and she needed ‘Quiet Life Pills’ to cope! So many happy memories, too many to share here. Our lives took very different paths, but on the occasions we did meet, nothing had changed. Such an easy person to share time with. She was so proud of her children and the home she had built with Lee. Her love for her family and amazing bond with her sister so evident. When we last met, we planned to get together again and maybe catch up with other school friends, but life and Covid got in the way. I am devastated that I will never share that time with her - I can not begin to imagine the loss her beautiful family must be experiencing? My heart goes out to them all. I hope it is of some small comfort at this time to know that many people are thinking of them with love and sympathy, and that Janette will continue to hold a happy place in so many hearts. With love and sympathy, Tracey
